About

Governor's Cup Foundation mission, purpose, and community commitment

Governor's Cup Foundation ("GCF") provides a forum for open discussion and the exchange of ideas on public policy, scientific, and humanitarian issues by sponsoring business, educational, and social events where invited members of the public, government officials, educators, and others may congregate. Specifically, GCF is committed to providing financial support for research, education, and scholarships relating to important public policy, scientific, and humanitarian issues. GCF is also committed to providing funding to assist individuals in need and for memorials that are consistent with GCF's stated purposes. Finally, GCF provides funding to public charities that are recognized by the IRS as exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and whose purposes are consistent with GCF's stated purposes.

Further, GCF will participate in funding community activities which encourage and advance the discussion and exchange of ideas on public policy and scientific and humanitarian issues in the Sacramento region and beyond.

Each year, the Governor's Cup Foundation hosts the Governor's Cup Invitational Golf Tournament, which raises much-needed funds for deserving organizations in California.
